Happy Thanksgiving!
It’s that time of year, when the stores become hectic and the stress level rises. When traffic becomes a nightmare and patience is tested. But amidst all the chaos and craziness of the season, remember to be thankful.
My mother has a tradition where she has everyone state what they’re thankful for before we eat and after saying grace. I’m always grateful for my family, our health, and sharing another holiday together.
This year, we lost my brother-in-law’s father suddenly and sadly, so I’ve said a special prayer for him this morning as I know this day will be especially difficult. My oldest niece went off to college and is home for the holidays and for that I’m truly thankful. My cousin gave birth to a healthy beautiful baby boy last week, another blessing. And my significant other had a very successful knee surgery two months ago, so I have plenty to give thanks for this year.
I wish you all a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. Eat up, have some laughs, create some new memories and remember to give thanks…. 🙂
