Warning: If you’re one of those people who gets annoyed when other people put silly things on their dog’s head, I urge you to look away now….
As I reported last week, my home is undergoing repairs. Faucets are being repaired, electrical sockets replaced and my long-awaited tv stand with mount is finally, finally making its way to the bedroom. Oh happy day! But I’m realizing not all couples are made to withstand the annoyances of home repairs.
Who knew paint colors, lighting choices and electrical stuff could feel like nails on a chalkboard?! Not I! So how does one handle the loving yet nagging sound of their significant other amid the clanging of hammers and the shrill shriek of drilling?
This is how….well, for me anyway.
Yes. I enjoy adorning my dog in accessories (she’s a little too big for clothes or else it would be on!) and, once I regain my composure, snapping a few photos to savor the memory. Bella is mostly sweet (despite occasional fits of moodiness) about her mother’s uncontrollable need to entertain herself this way. She’s lived with me long enough to know this is a give-&-take relationship. Besides, how can I resist! She’s the most lovable little sweetie-pie who makes the yuckiest days brighter and the funniest moments funnier. Plus, she really helps to maintain our sanity in stressful times like these, but like her mum, she’s not one for clanging noises or sudden movements… we’re Cancer born, our moods shift like that.
And if you’ve read my blog for some time now, you know what a scare she gave us over the summer so I try to make the most fun of every day with her…
And I know it might look like she’s not enjoying herself, but actually, she’s quite fond of …. ah, who am I kidding … she loathes it…. but how adorbs, right!…right! 🙂
Our, I mean….YOUR dog is gorgeous! She should be in the movies.
LOL, you’re so funny & yes she is/should be!
She is a Star!
